RECREATION


 Logan and the surrounding areas offer many types of recreation for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.


LOGAN MUNICIPAL POOL


                               

Logan Municipal Pool is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day. It includes a large swimming pool and separate wading pool for toddlers. 

Logan Municipal Golf Course


Logan Municipal Golf Course, a 9-hole course with sand greens, is open year round to the public. Green fees are $2.00. Yearly memberships are also available.


TENNIS COURTS



There are two fenced Tennis Courts equipped with lighting.


BASKETBALL COURTS

There are two fenced basketball courts also equipped with lighting.


SADDLE CLUB AND HORSE ARENA

A riding arena is located on the west edge of Logan and is available for use by local residents.


CITY PARK / PLAYGROUND

Logan Elementary School provides a well equipped playground for public use,
while the city park provides playground equipment and a covered picnic area.

At the present time, the school is enhancing the playground area with an
outside basketball court, leveled soccer field, and enclosure fence.

                                          


LOGAN LAKE

                                                   

Logan Lake is located 2 and 1/2 miles South of Logan. Nestled between the hills, it offers
a quiet getaway for fishing, boating, camping, or picnics. A playground area is available
along with a covered picnic area and electrical outlets for campers or RV’s.


Other lakes in the surrounding area include:

Keith Sebelius Reservoir:
2,230 acres including a wildlife area, nature trail, historic landmark, bathhouse and beach,
courtesy dock, boat ramps, dump station and electrical outlets.

Webster Lake:
3,740 acres including a nature trail, bathhouse and beach, marina, courtesy docks,
boat ramps, dump stations, and electrical outlets.

Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge:
10,778 acres supporting diverse wildlife habitat, including grasslands, open water
wetlands, and croplands. Offers hunting, fishing, campgrounds, and boat ramps.
